Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Critique help please + A-kon roomates?

Need advice for this. Advice on coloring, painting, anatomy, cloths, anything. The process of this image has been so filled with correcting errors, and that wouldn't really be bad, but they're errors that I couldn't even see ......... and still can't even see. It really bothers me that I have no eye for these small details. (In the image description there are process clippings, if you want to see what I'm talking about.)

I feel silly trying to perfect an image ... once perfection is the goal, it's never done and it's never perfect. (I'm sorry for this weird mindset. ;_; It just is what it is. I'm so hopeless about getting anatomy right, I stopped trying as soon as I got out of my undergrad.)

But I guess I want to try and make it perfect, if only because it's a random illustration that isn't for anyone but me, so it won't matter that it isn't perfect.

So please, if you have suggestions, offer them.

Also, looking for roomates for A-kon. There's three of us in our room currently I think. c: It's 170something a night. WHAT IS TOILET GENIE?
TG is a weekly webcomic that I draw, write, and publish. c: It is dark fantasy, currently rated 13+. The story follows a pug which discovers a genie living in a toilet. Through a series of odd events, the pug is turned into a woman. Before she can forfill her destiny (whatever that may be...) she must learn the story of how the genie came to live in the toilet.

WHEN DOES TG UPDATE?!
TG updates ~ Thursdays. But if the page is done early, it updates early. If the page would benefit from more time, it updates late.

COMMISSIONS/TRADES/FREE ART
I'm always interested in commissions, but I may turn them down if I'm cramped for time. Trades are a possibility, but unlikely. If you have to *ask* me for free art, chances are I will not give it to you.

On the topic of perfection mindsets ponder this one (it applies to living beings and total perfection rather than perceived perfection). Perfection is boring. Once perfection is acheived nothing can be added to make it ever closer to being perfect. Life cannot get better, and mental and physical properties can no longer be enhanced. Life becomes line-like (constant and straight), all days are as best as possible, job position remains the same, all negative variables are nonexistent eliminating the hope for a better tomorrow since tomorrow will have the same level of hapiness or sadness as today. Since mental and physicalcted you become rather robotic doing everything with the same ammount of exertion and effort. Though if there were some way to turn off the static mental state you'd probably commit suicide or something to end the boredom.
Damn my memory,it causes to many flashbacks, your mentioning of perfection mindsets reminded me of a small monologue by a character from Bleach thus causing me to want to rant about it.

i don't see any anatomy mistakes and i love the colors and shading too

one thing i would sugest, i think the pic would look better of Skittelz would be centered in the image, i mean crop out a bit of the blue on the left but it's just a minor detail or maybe i'm too fixated on symetry OAO

the only thing I really see is that the hips are too small compared to the head. other then that, I think the coloring looks good (though might be hard to print) and the details so far looks balanced. If you need more help on that, I always find having a wall of reference images helpful.
