About painting and title: Lots to write about this one. @_@ I did this painting for an art book of girls with guns ... dunno if I got in yet or not, but I'll journal it if I did. ^^ *crosses fingers* The design of it was inspired by those dancing Shiva paintings and sculptures [Nataraja]. Sorry to anyone who knows better on this subject than me, I can't speak Indian and I know so little about Hindu its sad. o_o; She isn't Shiva of course .... she isn't in the typical Shiva pose.
EDIT: I widened her shoulders a bit but beyond that I probably won't make any anatomy edits. Sorries.
This is so awesome that I nearly pissed my pants. LULZ.
No, but seriously now - I admire your watercolour skills a lot and the pose + costume are brilliant (I want that stuff, damnit!).. great work and definitely worth a fav.
Also, the white cross works a bit like a window frame and divides the picture nicely. woot woot!

That's the bother with black on color .... when I first drew it I was checking proportions and anatomy and what, but it's that her clothing is all black. T_T You know how black makes things appear slimmer and all. I think that's what it is anyway .... I should have accounted for it.
haha! Now that I look at it, her costume reminds me slightly of a barbie had when I was very young. O_O; meep. evil barbies. ... But this costume is mostly what she wears in the comic with slight alterations to the skirt. ^^

I also think theres some anatomical issues.. neck looks a little long and the torso is borderline too twisted.. but that might be personal taste. (maybe with her head being too big her forehead isnt high enough?) The perspective of her right leg bothers me a little to. The colourization and character is great, and you were right about the black clothes need to be accounted for. Just some points to look at, what you decide is what you do. Good luck with this project!

This is some hot colouring. Very nice movement in the piece overall!
Not sure if you are looking for anatomy crits.... but um um Her shoulders actually look quite proportionate to her head and torso. Her left arm looks proportionate! Her right arm looks short... like if you draw an arc down from where he elbow would swing out it looks like it lines up with where the nipple would be. If you look at your arm (supposing you have pretty average arms) in the mirror your elbow probably lines up somewhere between the bottom of your ribcage and top of your hip. And then fingertips go about half way to the thigh.
Um crap that went a little longer that I expected so I hope you don't think I am rude. Not that you can fix it now I guess... Don't want to come across as pretentious, just trying to help a fellow artist out so hope that helped! You can hide my comment or whatever if you're offended haha
Oh yeah and I forgot to mention I also really dig the background - it looks amazing.
