For ^misskittyoooo's Vintage Christmas card contest. I wanted to draw a card to send to my friends, and making it vintage inspired was a fun challenge. XD This picture is mostly inspired by the French Poster section of art history.

If anyone would be interested in buying postcards of this to send to friends and family, I'd be really grateful. O_o;;; Please read my journal for more info...

ABOUT THE TITLE: Lait Pur Sterilise is an image by T. A. Steinlen from the French Poster movement. Turn of the centuryish, contemporary with Mucha and Picasso. It's of a girl giving her cats milk and is an advert for sterilised milk.

T_T health ... I wrote a little about it in a journal entry, but it's understandable you may not have read it. I have a few health issues I don't really want to discuss in detail, but the end result is that I had to give up the contest because my health was causing me a lot of pain.

I love, for some reason, the treatment of the folds, especially on the overhang in the background. Great colors, and really earthy tones. I just love the composition of everything too; great backgrounds and subtle details too!
