Artist's Comments9___9 For the sketchblog unaware... SURPRISE! It's webcomic time. Ever since I bagged on ASPS two years ago, I've been aching to try again. ^___^ But not with ASPS ... I've flickered between 4 or 5 different ideas, started them, failed them ... but Toilet Genie is different. So far I've enjoyed the whole process of drawing it rather than puttering out during thumbnails or scripting. What's more, I really feel these characters. I have something [I'm not entire sure what] on my heart that I've been trying to put on paper ... these characters are that thing, whatever it is. |

A sadly toiling slave, Dragging the slowly lengthening chain of bondage to the grave.
I cannot choose a favorite pannel, cuz every single one portrays the pug so true to them. The backgrounds are really nice too. I like a lot how you do cobblestones and overall stones. xD The contrast of blue and orange/pink makes it all more lively, even in a seemingly autumn atmosphere.
Why yes I love this page. XDD
Proud owner of a pug, though I used to HATEE him. Now I love him to no end. Cute little stupid thing~

WHO DISTURBS MAI TOILET WATER?!????
The few pages of this that were on display at Otakon left me with the nice feeling that my soul, or whatever resides in my chest area and passes therefore, had been lightly brushed over a cheese grater. I love works that simultaneously squick, stomach-twist, and seduce me like that, because I know there's going to be either disappointingly gross and boring, or brilliantly grotesque and illuminating. I had the suspicion this would be the latter.
Onward I go to experience--the Toilet Genie!
Note: It took me two read-throughs to feel it--I had to understand the heavy fall that had happened--but once I knew what that peculiar angle was suggesting, the feeling of vertigo the second panel caused was absolutely delicious. I'm hoping this series just keeps giving me that stomach-twisting goodness!
