D8 I love watercolor textures but I fail so hard at them. I feel like I've been perfecting the art of extreme control over watercolor which is really obviously NOT the point of watercolor. (Extreme control is the point of photoshop.) So I tried to use texture and water and freedom more. :/

*puts water on paper*
*sort of slurs paint across it*
*sprinkles salt around with expert wrist flick.*

I love the way everything glows in TG, so much. It's beautiful and vibrant and the contrast between really clear and crisp shiny things and then dark and smudgy bits is so cool.

Yes. YESH. I loved the glowy panels on the whole of that page, so glad you've given this one a big solo. I like the texture in the snow of the upper-left corner, and that pretty shade of blue of the rocks in Vidu's (or possibly more the fish's?) glow above his head.

This doesn't really count as fanart, but a recent art project introduced me to watercolors (plus sharpies) and your comic (which I'd been reading before) with it's lovely art has urged me to keep poking around with them afterwords. My inexperience (both with watercolors and art in general) shows like heck, but hopefully I'll improve. [link] Been trying to convince myself I should try it without outlines some time... haven't gotten there yet.

haha, that he casts no shadow is not a mistake. ^^ And that is the reason why ... he makes the light, it comes from him, there is no shadow.

The background is my favorite part of this image, how the melting/dripping lines seem to have chosen their own paths. At first, I thought they were trees, with the branches intertwined. Remembering the setting, I can see the outlines of rocks now.

I know you may be frustrated sometimes with your medium, but I have to thank you for choosing it to help tell your story. It really helps convey the ethereal side of the back-story, of these two characters.
